CAREERS CORPS SECURITY
Recruitment Selection
Corps Security is an equal opportunity employer, committed to fair and non-discriminatory practices in all aspects of our hiring and employment processes. We have established one of the most rigorous recruitment, selection, training, and assessment regimes of any industry in PNG. The history of an applicant is thoroughly scrutinized and documented, with original evidence required for any certification and other areas such as police clearances. This is further reinforced by reference checks with previous employers—or character reference checks for those who have not been employed. Basic numeracy, literacy, and aptitude are also assessed during this process before proceeding.
Training & Assessment
Training and assessment is generally conducted over five days – longer for Officers who are required to work with clients who have specific requirements (e.g. Diplomatic posts).
The basic training is designed in accordance with the Security Industry Training Organisation (SITO) and as such, is internationally recognised.
A stringent “pass” mark is set and must be met prior to Officers been deployed. Refresher training is also afforded to our Officers.
